Dematic, a KION operating unit, has an immediate need for a Product Manager 3 specializing in Mobile Automation in one of our European offices. This includes Automated Guided Vehicles(AGVs), Automated Guided Carts(AGC), Autonomous Mobile Robots(AMR) and Embedded Towlines(ETOW).

A recent acquisition by KION, and the subsequent merger with Egemin has created one of the largest Mobile Automation businesses in the world with outstanding growth potential. This addition to the newly formed Center of Excellence (COE) team will provide critical support in portfolio rationalization and new product development roadmap management. This role will report to the Global Product Manager of Mobile Automation and will directly interface with both internal and external groups.


Job Family Specific Responsibilities:

  • Participates/coordinates market research, monitors competitive activity and identified customer needs
  • Assists in establishing pricing strategies 
  • Interacts with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing products or product lines.
  • Assists in creating new product definition and business plans
  • Assists in development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace.
  • Contributes to and completes structured product marketing plans from broad concepts and business strategies. 
  • Works with development Product Owner(s) in an agile environment.
  • Coordination with global sales and commercialization teams on beta sites and organizational readiness.  
Knowledge/Experience:

  • Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of product management concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of Agile development concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of complex mechatronics and its interconnectivity between firmware, software and controls.
  • Experience in mechanical or electrical design, preferably with AGVs.
  • Understanding of Pragmatic Marketing philosophies and practices.
  • Experience in the material handling industry.
  • Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.

  • Typically provides direction to non-exempt administrative or technical employees, and/or lower level exempt employees.
  • Typically no direct reports.
